This interdisciplinary field combines aspects of engineering, computer science, biology, chemistry, and medicine to advance human health. Students study biomedical engineering to apply quantitative, analytical, and engineering approaches toward innovative healthcare solutions, including novel medical devices, biological implants, and all the tools of modern medicine and biomedical science.

Degrees

Students earning this degree must complete the total 133 credit-hour curriculum (135 credit-hours for the Pre-medical/Biotechnology track) required to graduate from the School of Engineering.
